Building a better world starts with knowing your neighbors.
“Do not be content with showing friendship in words alone, let your heart burn with loving kindness for all who may cross your path.”
― Baha'u'llah
We welcome our Hillsborough neighbors to join us for meaningful conversations based on universal spiritual principals about the elimination of racism, the equality of men and women, the harmony of science & religion, and to learn more about how we can be of service to one another and make our town a JUST, FRIENDLY, AND UNIFIED COMMUNITY.
LET'S HAVE A CONVERSATION! Contact us if you would like to learn more about connecting your family to our on-going activities.
What is the Baha'i Faith?
Our Vision
Our Community's Vision Statement:
Connecting Hillsborough One Heart at a Time. The Baha'is recognize our diversity, uphold our basic dignity, and show respect for all, working together to create justice and unity.
Our Community's Mission Statement:
To create an atmosphere of reverence and devotion to God in the community,
to foster a spirit of friendship and intimacy that transcends the barriers of race and class,
to provide spiritual and moral education for young people,
to share the lives and teachings of the Central Figures of the Bahá'í Faith with those interested.
Our Principles
*There's one Creator (we may call this Creator by many names - God, Allah, The Great Spirit, Jehovah, etc).
*All religions share the same spiritual teachings as the Divine Educators have been sent by this one Creator (we know these luminous Beings as The Great Spirit, Krishna, Moses, Zoroaster, Buddha, Christ, Muhammad, The Bab, Baha'u'llah, and more will continue to come as humanity is always in need of Divine Educators).
*All people are part of one human family; there can be no unity until there is justice.
*Equality of men and women is an essential truth.
*Religion without science is superstition & Science without religion is materialism.
*All people must be educated.
*Truthfulness is the foundation of all human virtues.
*World Peace is inevitable.
